The Rehabilitation & Extension of the Sangster International Airport (SIA) Project
in Montego Bay, was planned due to the desire of the Jamaican government and the Airport Authority of Jamaica (AAJ)
to provide solutions for the increasing needs to improve the Airport's level of services
and extent its capacity to more than 6 million of passengers annually.

as being a BOT type of project it comprises the construction part such as the rehabilitation
of the Land Side Building, the construction of
a new Airside Building as well as new paved airplanes parking areas (aprons).
the package includes also the operational and management of the airport for a term of 30 years.

Ashtrom is taking part in the execution of the project as a member of the concession group
and also as the main contractor for the construction works.
The Project's construction is to be completed in July 2008.
